This design is a mashup of the famous Thomas Jefferson quote and the heinous 1765 Stamp Act. I believe the art is a representation of our current place in history.
The combination of boths themes in direct relation of our current political issues.
The over taxation of our government using our money to fund endless wars. Lining their pockets and forgetting their oaths they took to serve the people. There are so many deep themes mixed into this concept. The conviction we have to Stand Strong still remains that we hold true to our convictions.

"I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery" is a translation of a Latin phrase that Thomas Jefferson used: "Malo periculosam, libertatem quam quietam servitutem." It has also been translated as, "I prefer the tumult of liberty to the quiet of servitude.
